The concept is to explore while unable to move, like an astral projection or if your feelin druidic, summon a bird and see through it. you would be free to see the world similar to if you died, BUT your body would remain in the casted location and would consume Mana as long as you are using said spell. The amount of times I've purposely burned myself to achieve this effect on my own is getting uncanny.
